We are recruiting for freelance visually impaired facilitators and access workers to work on our Paul Hamlyn funded Enhance programme 2025-26.

We are particularly interested in freelancers based in these regions: North East, Liverpool, Leicester, Norwich and Edinburgh.

Visually Impaired Facilitators

We are recruiting visually impaired facilitators to deliver Enhance.

Extant are looking for experienced visually impaired facilitators to continue the roll-out of Enhance. We are particularly looking for people based in these regions: North East, Liverpool, Leicester, Norwich and Edinburgh.

If you are an experienced facilitator and have the following skills / experience, we look forward to your application:

Experience:

  • Lived experience of visual impairment
  • Commitment to inclusive practice
  • Running tailored training programmes

Skills:

  • Applied knowledge of the Social Model of Disability
  • Writing
  • Creative practice
  • Person-centred, conscientious and professional
  • Excellent communicator and time manager

Facilitators will be contracted on a freelance, sessional basis. They are responsible for their own tax and National Insurance. Fee per day is £250-400 depending on the nature of delivery, plus travel and expenses.

This role includes paid training.

Access Workers

We are recruiting access workers: to support the delivery of Enhance

Extant are looking for experienced access workers to support the roll-out of Enhance. We are particularly looking for people based in these regions: North East, Liverpool, Leicester, Norwich and Edinburgh.

If you are an experienced access worker and have the following skills / experience, we look forward to your application.

  • Supporting people in a professional environment

Skills:

  • Applied knowledge of the Social Model of Disability
  • Commitment to inclusive practice
  • Supporting tailored training programmes
  • Writing
  • Person-centred, conscientious and professional
  • Excellent communicator and time manager
  • An up to date Enhanced DBS is essential.

Access workers will be contracted on a freelance, sessional basis. They are responsible for their own tax and National Insurance. Fee per day is £120 or £16.50 per hour depending on the nature of delivery, plus travel and expenses.

This role includes paid training.
