Extant and VICS Edinburgh Fringe 2024 Event

Extant and VICS (Visually Impaired Creators Scotland) are hosting an open house drop-in session on access for visually impaired audiences, supported by ZOO Venues.

On Friday 2^nd August, Extant & VICS will host an open house drop-in session at ZOO Southside,117 Nicolson Street, in the Cabaret Bar, from 11.30am to 1.30pm. A response to the sobering fact that only 17 shows are listed with the Fringe Society as having audio description, Louisa Sanfey (Artist Development Manager, Extant) and Kirin Saeed (Artistic Director, VICS) will be at the venue to meet with any VI actors and creatives who are at Fringe, whether with a show or as an audience member, and with any sighted creatives who are interested in learning more about how to simply and affordably integrate access for VI audiences into their work. You’ll be surprised at how easy it is! It’s a drop-in event so pop along any time between 11.30am to 1.30pm at ZOO Southside Cabaret bar.
