No Dramas Paid Training Opportunity!

We are looking to increase and develop our pool of visually impaired (VI) No Dramas facilitators through a unique PAID training opportunity. No Dramas returns with a refreshed look for 2024.

This opportunity applies to facilitators inside and outside of London. No Dramas will be back in London and expanding to other places across England in Autumn 2024.

Firstly, what is No Dramas?

These are two-hour drama sessions, which are held in person for visually impaired adults, designed for those with some drama experience, as well as those without.

A No Dramas session features social opportunities, accessible drama exercises, fun games and chances to improvise and build confidence. Free access support is provided to and from the station for participants.

Secondly, what is the training opportunity?

Led by Ben Wilson, our Trainee Artistic Director, selected trainees will take part in a newly designed one-day training course on how to run Extant’s No Dramas workshops for a 5-session term.

Facilitators will also learn how to lead and apply inclusive facilitation techniques with / for visually impaired participants and how to build their confidence.

The training date will take place on Monday 19th August London 12-6pm (venue TBC) and facilitators will be paid £150 to take part.

Please note, we will cover travel expenses for people selected to attend outside of London.

Some successful candidates will then be employed for a series of 5 sessions across different parts of England in Autumn 2024/Spring 2025.
