Extant is planning some fantastic free training sessions in the new year to get those creative juices flowing.

First off, we have an online casting workshop on 11 January, led by Amy Bethan Evans and Ruby Baker from the BBC Casting Team. This workshop will give attendees the chance to learn self-taping skills, practice short duologues and hear top tips direct from the BBC team. All attendees will have the opportunity to submit a self-tape to the BBC to be considered for future screen and radio castings.

Also in January, we have an in-person song writing workshop led by Gerard McDermott. Gerard is an experienced actor, having performed in Calendar Girls and most recently in Ramps On The Moon’s Much Ado About Nothing. He is developing his first musical, Painting the Town, and is offering this workshop for anyone who is interested in developing their song writing skills. The workshop will take place in Wimbledon and the date will be confirmed shortly.

Later in the spring we will be running training sessions on facilitation, both online and in-person, and some more workshops to be announced.
