Call out for Visually Impaired Facilitators and Access Workers!
Extant are looking for freelance visually impaired facilitators and access workers to work on our Paul Hamlyn funded Enhance programme 2024-26.
We are particularly interested in freelancers based in these regions: North East / North West / Midlands / Hereford / Derby / London.
Enhance Facilitator skill and experience requirements include:
- Leading a room, and delivering training based on the Social Model of Disability and the Equality Act 2010
- Liaising with venues, theatre companies and Extant
- Knowledge of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, and within the theatre industry
- Being an advocate for the company
- Strong communication skills
Enhance Access Worker skill and experience requirements include:
- Supporting visually impaired people in access for creative projects
- Sighted guiding
- Knowledge of the Social Model of Disability and the Equality Act 2010
- Strong communication skills
- Up to date DBS

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to book a phone call for a follow-up interview on Tuesday 30th July, between 12-4pm.
Candidates who get through this round will then complete four hours paid online training.
