Magnus Mackenzie

Magnus Mackenzie joins the Extant team as Projects Assistant. Thanks to Lambeth’s ELEVATE programme, this is a 6 month internship, which supports NEET youth aged 16-24 in Lambeth to get into creative careers.

Magnus is a creative, passionate, visually impaired, gay artist, performer and theatre maker, who is still developing their skills and breaking out into the industry. Magnus recently graduated from an Applied Theatre degree from Birmingham City University and is interested in pushing the boundaries and expectations of theatre with their creative work by creating pieces that sometimes include sensitive subject matters.

“I’m looking forward to working with Extant because I can’t wait to be part of an inclusive team that cares about making sure the performing arts are more accessible to our community and working for a company that can cater my needs is incredible, as well as giving me a great opportunity to understand more about how the company works. I couldn’t ask for a more perfect first official role.” – Magnus.
