Extant Theatre Club

ETC is a social group, which supports visually impaired audience members to see high quality, accessible theatre. It runs in London and across the country.

As part of ETC you will receive:

In London:

Unseen‘ at Bloomsbury Festival, Wednesday 23rd October, performance at 4:30pm.

Extant presents a live event to accompany Unseen, a gripping new audio drama that examines the subtle and insidious effect of domestic abuse on the blind and visually impaired community.

Excerpts from the audio drama will be performed live by visually impaired actors, followed by a panel discussion with members of the creative team and representatives from organisations that have supported the making of the work.

A Battered Chip on My Shoulder, by Dave Pitt on Saturday 9th November, pre-show programme notes and touch tour at 6:30pm, followed by performance at 7:30pm.

Dave Pitt has won awards. Dave Pitt is an Associate Artist. Dave Pitt is doing alright at this writing and performing lark. So why has Dave Pitt still got a chip on his shoulder, what does that have to do with graffiti art, bins and fork lift trucks and is the chip actually battered? Dave Pitt uses spoken word and poetry to find out.

What the Dickens? By The Telling on Friday 22nd November, pre-show programme notes and touch tour at 6:30pm, followed by performance at 7:30pm.

A spellbinding theatre piece with music by award-winning writer Clare Norburn and BAFTA-nominated director Nicholas Renton, soundtracked by colourful Victorian popular songs and street music, old carols and lively folk dance music performed by a multi-talented cast of seven who act, sing, dance and play instruments: sometimes all at the same time!
