The company of six, most of whom had no previous theatre experience, had been working together since January and performed a series of devised sketches to an audience of 55, facilitated by directors Jo Gleave and Suriya Roberts-Grey, with live music by Robert Lane.

Using music and comedy to explore the assumptions we make about each other and how we challenge them, Getting On With Life raised awareness of some of the barriers that people with a visual impairment face.

The performance was followed by a post-show Q&A session where the audience made very clear their enjoyment of the performance (as did the participants!). The company are determined that this will be the first of many shows, so hopefully we'll be seeing more of them again very soon!
