Upcoming Extant Theatre Club trips in Wolverhampton:

ETC is a social group which supports visually impaired audience members in seeing high quality, accessible theatre, and includes discounted tickets!

We have two trips planned at the Arena Theatre.

In partnership with our Enhance programme, each performance contains pre-show programme notes and a touch tour, followed by the performance. Afterwards Extant Theatre Club members will take part in a post-show discussion, led by a visually impaired facilitator.

Access support is offered before, during and after the performance. We can also offer a meet and greet for those who need it at Wolverhampton train station, University of Wolverhampton Bus stops (AC and AD) and Wolverhampton Bus station, if requested beforehand.

The current shows available are:

  • A Battered Chip on My Shoulder, by Dave Pitt on Saturday 9th November, 7:30pm:

Dave Pitt has won awards. Dave Pitt is an Associate Artist. Dave Pitt is doing alright at this writing and performing lark. So why has Dave Pitt still got a chip on his shoulder, what does that have to do with graffiti art, bins and fork lift trucks and is the chip actually battered? Dave Pitt uses spoken word and poetry to find out.

Discounted tickets for this trip are £9.

  • What the Dickens? By The Telling on Friday 22nd November, 7:30pm:

A spellbinding theatre piece with music by award-winning writer Clare Norburn and BAFTA-nominated director Nicholas Renton, soundtracked by colourful Victorian popular songs and street music, old carols and lively folk dance music performed by a multi-talented cast of seven who act, sing, dance and play instruments: sometimes all at the same time!
