She went on to became the co-founder of BlipTop Dance Company, a community dance company which gained funding by Awards for All and Arts Council England. Alongside BlipTop, Jodie was also involved with Dudley Performing Arts, a community arts organisation through which she entered the Graduate Trainee Scheme and gained a Community Dance Practitioner Award in teaching in education and the community. Jodie continues to work for Dudley Performing Arts in a number of roles and has been involved with various projects including Brierleyhillness, Cultural Olympiad and Godiva Awakes.

In 2006 Jodie became Artist in Residence at the Swan Theatre in Worcester, funded by Sport England and supported by National Portfolio organisation DanceFest. 2008 saw Jodie appointed artist in Residence at Blue Coat Academy to help build relations with partner/feeder schools in the Walsall Area, through dance and touring.

In 2013 Jodie became part of a new established dance organisation called The Black Country Dance Hub, an administrative and delivery role in project management, co-ordination and relationship building with partners and new organisations.

Jodie is passionate about every individual being able to access art, and has worked continuously with different communities to enable them to benefit from the positive effects it has on a person’s wellbeing.
